OK I'm just making a List of the Risks that we aren't covering but are nice games.

Got any points or certain versions Please feel free to keep posting below; I'm just starting the treads for these games.

(THIS IS A DIFFERENT MAP TO LOTR RISK)

Middle Earth - Risk Empty Re: Middle Earth - Risk

This is most likely my second favorite Risk after WoW.

I recently found a version of 6.23 (n) made by Nos-feratu that priwin had edited and added his trigger system.

The changes Priwin made included redoing minor bits of terrain, making units on the pads serve as the towers, removing catapults and lumber system, and adding the player host options. This enabled fog, teams/ffa, bounty, spawn cap of 5-15 rounds, and etc... Unfortunately there was no domination but this map is really cool.

I did notice some problems right away, Player 1 (red) starts with fortress spawn even if red does not own the fortress at the beginning of the game every-time, and when you owned a fortress you did not receive +1 income.

I notified Priwin of this and other small tweaks that could be made. If he chooses to pursue these basic changes we might have a really nice middle earth risk similar to wow, excluding the unit counter base system.

Sidenote: Priwin made a really nice terrain of Middle earth, but it is only a devo map. It is called "Lord of the Risk." If we could develop the map with some more terrain and fortress detail, and import units from Nos-feratus map (and possibly add the unit counter system from wow risk) we would have most likely the best middle earth/ lotr risk ever made for WC3 on bnet. However Priwin is very busy and this is alot of additional work considering his focus is on WOW risk and possibly Outland risk.... Regardless I hope someday we can achieve such a map for middle earth, because I always appreciated the lore of Middle Earth.

Awesome idea... but you know what would be even better? If it was mixed with shogun... you could build little towers walls and forward camps and stuff! That would be awesome... (Assuming the map expands a little) although i do like the gaming style it is now... Shogun really did some stuff right (Like there sea units)

I hate that part from Shogun Risk, i mean maybe the towers but u shouldnt make the forward camps... IMHO that would be stupid (truthfully both would but towers are somewhat ok)

in shogun risk the towers are annoying... but flame archers actually cause burning damage to the towers, causing them to take damage long after the initial attack. if towers were added, this unit perk would be necessary. Could aslo add catapults like WoW risk free race. But I think this map will be more like WOW RISK than anything else.

I think the latest middle earth risk done by Nos-Feratu (the original lotr risk maker) is unprotected, at least one of his is, it's the map everyone has used for the countless lotr risks. Just search for it on epicwar.com, should be easy to find.

Hi guys. I have refused an invite to your clan long ago and I'm not going to join. I've registered to take you an info in this thread.

1. Nos is not an author of the 1st Middle Earth Risk. He's made a separate line of MER. IMO they are good if you compare them with some versions realized in the same time.
2. I have checked "Pyrwani version", compered minimaps and talked with Pyrw. What do I know about Pyrwani versions:
- it has nothing in common with versions by Nosferatu
- it's based on 6.8 or some like this
- it has been made without permission of an author of version on which he has based, so it's hacked
- it's cheatly called with high number what can confuse people so they will think it's newer then 7.X versions
- he doesn't care about he has hacked and he tries to override work of 7.X versions who had a permission of authors of previous versions
3. The newest official version is 7.92 realized on December 2010.
4. I've made all official versions since 7.3.
5. I have a permission of previous authors who also had such a permission.

Is Pyrwani a member of your clan as he had been?

Pyrwani? I can't speak for others but he doesn't seem familiar. A lot of people are/were in this clan so it could've been someone I missed. Vas will prolly know.

He's told he's from Brotherhood of Risk however it could be about the clan with a very similar full name.

There is another clan called that (BoR). They're on Northrend I believe, but could be Europe.
