Medieval 2 - Total war
Now I've talked to people in the clan who have this awesome game. . .SO TALK ABOUT IT MORE!!
Re: Medieval 2 - Total war
Whats your favourite faction? mine is Moors, cause you can hijack Rome easily from the start:D And then just kill the new pope every time he spawns xD The cardinals become less and less until there is no cardinals at all and they begin o recruit priests with 0-2 piety and make them pope xD After that you can start recruiting Imams and just spread them out all over Europe and Convert people to your religion!
Or you can make the Papal States playable and play as them and be inactive and see what happens to Europe without a strong playercontrolled faction to push things around!

Re: Medieval 2 - Total war
On VH? was the enemy a troop of elite units, regulars or just crap rabble? If elites then you really are god at that game, if its regulars then thumbs up, if peasants then it sucked xD
I once did a "best unit tournament, where all the elite units of the different factions were in... Those Teutonic Knights smacked everyone else xD

Re: Medieval 2 - Total war
It was a regular late game papal states army, made of lots of Swiss guard and lots of crossbows.
There were 2 more armies like it right behind.

Re: Medieval 2 - Total war
no? its a turnbased/rts game... its a king simulator actually... you have a kingdom lets say germany, and you obey the pope or kill him xD and you can expand by recruiting soldiers and taking cities from other kingdomsNavySeal wrote:Hmm this game... Is it like Age of Empires?

Re: Medieval 2 - Total war
Eh, I needed to kill the French in less than 30 turns so I just went all out against them.
Re: Medieval 2 - Total war
30 turns is a looong time... they only start with like 4 cities...echoesinthedark wrote:Eh, I needed to kill the French in less than 30 turns so I just went all out against them.

Re: Medieval 2 - Total war
They had 6 cities left at this point, one was next to those papal states armies, and their capital. . . .the battle for their capital had 5.5 stacks of armies. 3 of mine, 2 of the French, and half a stack of Milan fighting on my side.
Re: Medieval 2 - Total war
RTS game where each turn you can start a building, make a city, and move ur units. You start with your cap and you slowly advance through time.
Re: Medieval 2 - Total war
Sounds pretty similar but in total war you can command the soldiers in the battles, I rather like it because the terrain really fits in with where ever the battle is on the world map.
Re: Medieval 2 - Total war
no its not.. no technology and no building plots. You have townes where you can choose what to build (buildings and units) over the next couple of turns and then move your units around and attack others and engage in a RTS fight where you control all your units and hvae to be very strategic and not just charging right into them... your towns give you income so you can buy new buildings that give more income or recruit soldiers. you have to try atleast rome total war or medieval total war 2 !!! (empire total war is also good, but i like the 2 others most cause they changed a fair bit in empire)NavySeal wrote:So... This is basically Civilization?

Re: Medieval 2 - Total war
People... That is Star Wars Empire at War... Just in Medieval times it seems.
Re: Medieval 2 - Total war
I think the total war games have more advanced settings than Empire At War... THe best thing about the total war games: THEY ARE VERY EASY TO MODIFY! I myself made a mod, though it was the worst ever made xDNavySeal wrote:People... That is Star Wars Empire at War... Just in Medieval times it seems.
