OK, fatty and I want to make a wheel of time map but he's pushing for rts and I'm pushing for risk so I'm going to let a poll decide.

We may be a Risk centered clan, but we have 2 Risk creations going on... So an RTS would be good, and also present a bit of variety for the clan. And I realise I made a point against it here, as we are a RISK clan... But all clans need variety.

If you're up for the task, either one would be great.

An Azze Wars map would probably be preferred, for variety as Navy said, but that's also a lot more work than a risk map, at least from my experiences.

I vote RTS! but RISK is just as good if not better.

I think both ideas have merit (eventually we might even make both) and fatty and I are both big on the wheel of time so we can deal with the storyline and general map design but what we need is an experienced mapmaker to help us weld everything together, especially if we're making it RTS because none of us have really done that before.

If you need an extremely amateur mapmaker who has made like no good maps but very fun ones I am up to the task... But I have a good recommendation. Ask Zizuzazu or whatever his name is... The game who did Outland Risk Terrain. He did that great, maybe he shall do your's.

Doubt it, he can only do terrain, plus I paid him for it lulz.

Edit: Pretty much it's either, do it all yourself or get someone in the clan who's dedicated to the idea and has the knowledge + experience. However, most people in Hiveworkshop weren't thrilled about another Risk map, they like originality, so I think you'd get a lot more interest. Just make sure to make a good, thought out recruitment and map project thread. Try looking at other threads to get an idea of what looks nice.

You can do it, though a risk map would be much easier, then you would just need to make a terrain and add units, two of the easiest things, but a RTS is quite possible.

If you do decide to do the terrain yourself or something, there are lots of great tutorials on the hiveworkshop that really helped me. I even discovered somethings that zizuzazu didn't know.

I've alrdy found a base for the terrain, I just think it needs to be larger if we are to encompass even half of the things that fatty mentioned.
